Do you accept international orders?
Yes! We are happy to ship anywhere in the world. You can shop VAT free on our website. The new prices will be reflected in your shopping basket once you enter your shipping/billing address, or if you are logged into an account the adjusted prices will be shown on the website when shopping. Please remember you are liable to pay any customs fees, Tax or duty owed at your country's border.
When can I expect my order?
Orders for in stock items placed before 12 noon aim to be dispatched the same day, however this is not a guarantee. Orders placed after this time will be dispatched the following working day* from our premises here in Cornwall, pending availability.
*working days are Monday - Friday, and excludes bank holidays.
Once your order is dispatched, we will send you an automated email to let you know your package is on its way.
We estimate you will receive your order in the UK within 2-5 business days of its ship date. Shipping times will vary greatly at peak times, and are based on pre-Covid-19 levels. Rest assured we work our hardest to get you your order as quickly as possible.
International orders vary greatly between countries, we advise you to follow the tracking number for your individual package.
If your order contains a pre-ordered item or item ordered on 'Backorder' your order will be dispatched once all items are available. If you would like to receive items sooner, please place two separate orders.

What shipping service do you use?
UK orders are sent with Royal Mail using a 48hour service. Occasionally larger items will be sent with a DPD courier service, you will receive a separate tracking email with reference number to follow its journey.
International orders are sent using Airmail Tracked (or country equivalent service) or by courier for heavier orders.
You will receive a separate automated email with a tracking number referenced - please check your junk email folder for these automated emails (use this number to follow it's journey and keep up to date with any customs charges to pay).

We charge the actual cost of shipping the item using Royal Mail + a nominal charge for packaging. Please see shipping charges below.

Receiving an international order
If you are shopping from outside the UK on our website, you will be charged the net price, excluding VAT at the checkout. (UK customers are charged the net price + UK standard VAT).
Once it arrives in your country you are then liable to pay any tax/customs rate based on your own country's system and likely a small handling/admin fee by your local postal service. These fees vary between country and we cannot advise on this, it is your responsibility to research in advance if required and pay the fees owed in order to collect your parcel. In the event that you refuse to pay any fees owed and reject the package, we are liable for a return postage cost. All costs of returning the package to us with any fees incurred will be deducted from any refund, in the case where these fees outweigh the original order value, you will be charged the balance owed.
I haven’t received my package yet?
1. If you think your order might be lost in the post, we would suggest checking with everyone in your household who may have received the delivery on your behalf.
2. Visiting your local sorting office as your first port of call (you may not have received a calling card by Royal Mail).
3. Check with your neighbours or a designated 'Safeplace' (you may not have received a card by Royal Mail telling you if has been left).
4. Or if your package was delivered to a work address, check with the post room and all colleagues who may have accepted the delivery.
Please note we dispatch orders Monday - Friday. Weekends and all UK bank holidays are classed as non-working days, please bare this in mind when waiting for your order to arrive as orders are processed in order of receiving.
Royal Mail does not consider a parcel lost unless it has been missing 15 days in the UK, 20 days in Europe or 25 days in the rest of the world. If your parcel does not have a 'Delivered' status after this date we will begin the claims process with Royal Mail and pending an investigation (approximately 30 calendar days) we will re-send the package or refund where stock cannot be fulfilled.
If your order has not arrived within the standard Royal Mail 2nd Class time-frame following dispatch we will endeavour to help. Please email us at info@sewandquilt.co.uk and we will advise you if your package has a 'Delivered' status by Royal Mail. This means it has been scanned by a postman at your address. Please note we cannot do anything further for parcels that have this status and will only advise you to follow the points above.
You have 28 days in which to contact us regarding a lost package, we cannot do anything after this time.
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS PLEASE NOTE: We can only track packages through the same tracking number you get in your automated shipping email and don't have any additional insights, except to advise patience and adhere to any instructions for customs fees to pay once it reaches your country, this tends to be requested via email internationally so we stress to check your emails regularly - including spam/junk folders and ensure you email address entered at the checkout is correct.
We cannot do anything sooner, until 20-25 working days have passed.
DISCLOSURE
Please ensure your shipping address is correct, if you have entered your address incorrectly at the checkout in any way, we cannot be held responsible for any lost or unreceived orders. Orders that are returned to us because of an incorrect or invalid address, or the recipient did not collect the package in the time-allowance will not be liable for a refund, and will be re-posted at your expense.
Once an order has been delivered to the correct shipping address, we cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen packages.
Once an item has a status of 'Delivered' or 'this was delivered to you or a neighbour' by Royal Mail we will not be held responsible. Any additional shipping costs are non-refundable.
You have 28 days in which to contact us regarding a lost package, we cannot do anything after this time.
Please notify us of incorrect or faulty goods within 7 days of receiving your order (the 'Delivered' status by Royal Mail).
